The Scorpios constellation

The Scorpion is believed to be behind the death of Orion the great hunter. According to some believable myths,  Scorpios stung Orion because he was running around boasting that he could defeat any beast in a battle. In other myths, he was sent by Apollo, who was concerned for his sister Dianna. In either story Scorpios was put on the other side o the sky to avoid any battle with Orion. Scorpios was born between October 23rd and November 21st. It is to the southeast of Libra, and is marked by bright red star Antares.  Antares is Greek for ‘ Rival of Ares,’ the Greek war-god. It is named that because of its brightness and color, which are the same as Mars. Mars is the Roman name for Ares.
