Pegasus

Pegasus was a winged horse and was always thought of as a mystical creature.  It was believed that he was capable of anything and everything.  He was thought of as a goodhearted creature who always wanted to help everyone.  In return for everything that he had done for all the people : he was turned into a constellation on the last day of his life.  It was said that he was the son of Medusa and Poseidon.  Pegasus was raised by the Muses at Mount Helicon and was taken by goddess Athena.  He was so excited that he hit the side of the mountain with his hooves which caused springs into flowing fountains of inspiration.  One of the springs was called Hippocrene which means horse spring.   Pegasus ended up on Mount Olympus where he served Zeus with his thunder and lightning magic powers whenever he wanted them, he lived there until he eventually died.
