Life of a Spartan kid.

I am a Spartan boy called Charlie I am 10 years old. I am at the Barracks, where I have been for 3 years. I was lucky enough to be sent here, after proving that I was tough and clever. My mother told me that other children were not so lucky : they had been left to die as they were not as strong as me. Every day we were taught; discipline, athletics, survival skills, hunting, weapons training and how to endure pain.  At 7 years I learned reading, writing, dancing and singing; also PE (physical education). I steal whatever food I can find, I am always hungry because I never get much food at the barracks, they tell us it will make us better soldiers . If I ever get caught I would get a good beating. So altogether it was a very tricky life for a Spartan kid.
