Libra is my star sign. Libra is Latin for weighing scales and is the only sign of the zodiac that is not an animal. In the sky it is faint but not impossible to see with the naked eye. The planet Saturn is in the middle of the stars of Libra. You can see Libra in the evening sky during a Northern Hemisphere summer. In mythology Babylonians believed that Libra represented scales and balance. The scales showed balance between the seasons and day and night. The Ancient Greeks thought Libra was the claws of Scorpius reaching out. Romans believed that the scales represented justice being held by the Goddess Virgo and Astrea.
