Facts about Jupiter

I am writing about Jupiter as I really like Jupiter because it is the biggest planet and it is also really fascinating.

The planet Jupiter is the fourth brightest thing that we can see in Space, only the Sun, Moon and Venus are brighter. It is one out of five planets that is able to be seen by the naked eye from Earth.  The Babylonians were the first to write about the sightings they had of Jupiter (this was about the 7th or 8th century BC.)  Jupiter is named after the Greek God called Zeus, the God of all Gods and also the God of thunder.  Some people called the Mesopotamians saw Jupiter as the God Marduk and patron of the city of Babylon. Germanic tribes thought of this planet as Donar or Thor.

Jupiter should be found rising between east/south east  around 5:40 and setting between south west and west around 2pm.
