How It all Started Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party wanted to gain more power and land. By doing that they wanted Europe all for them selfs: so on the 1st of September 1939 German troops invaded Poland. Great Britain and France declared war on Germany as Adolf Hitler refused to stop the invasion.
How it ended Five years latter – so in 1944 – as France was still free from Nazi rule, an Allied army crossed to France from Britian; one year latter after gathering up a big Allied army they invaded Germany forsing them to surrender. Germany sent nucler bomb attacks on Japan’s major cities (Hiroshima and Nagasaki) Japan also surrendered to the Allied forces in August 1945. Arter that it was all over!
