A Different Day In A Good Way

Dear Diary,                                                                                           27th October 1000 BC

When I was flying to School this morning I noticed that I looked smarter, prettier and stronger than all the other girl dragons, I mean I am a slop-failure dragon which means I am pretty much a failure at everything. Clarice Ainsworth didn’t look like her usual self, well she was the same colour and everything, but she just looked a bit like a failure like me, well how I looked yesterday that is. Clarice is a perfect-pet dragon, in other words brilliant at everything  (and a teachers pet).

When I arrived at fire breathing class with Mrs. Myerscough she told me to go down to the head teacher, Mr. Vance, that instance. I was so nervous it was unbelievable. When I got to the end of the long corridor I took a deep breath and knocked on the door…

“Hello, come in,” he said in a low voice.

“Why am I hear?” I asked and could feel my tail quivering which is does when I am worried.  He spun round on his chair and announced,

“I am taking Clarice off the Dragon Council and replacing her with you.” Inside I felt like shouting but I just smiled and said thank-you.

So that is why today was the best day ever! Oh and I am not a slop-failure any more, I am a better version of Clarice Ainsworth.

  1. Well done Izzy, a really good story. Make sure that you get your homophones right and use punctuation correctly. It is really good though.
